You're Writing...
But Now You're Stagnate
You spend hours on an essay only to receive one like....from your mom.You start sharing your ideas on Notes, but fall off after a few days. You want to grow as a writer but when you apply tips you find in books or videos, you don't see any meaningful improvement. You know you have to promote your writing more, but it feels cringe, revealing or annoying so you avoid sharing your essays. You find yourself stuck between what you feel you should write versus what you are excited about writing. You've tried using ChatGPT, Claude or the hottest new LLM to improve your Notes, but they turn out stale and get even less attention.
How Writing Coaching Helps:
Set up your Substack to align with what you want. We do an audit of your profile and make sure your bio, About Me and Notes all make it clear who you are and what you do.
Turn your high quality essays into targeted Notes that drive conversation and subscribers to your Substack.
Publish consistently with gentle but firm accountability as well as guidance in knowing when to push and when to rest.
Grow your audience through strategies we build around your goals and comfort level without compromising your creativity.
Connect with your online idols as we plan the best ways to reach out to people on their Substacks and through cold DMs.
Gain confidence knowing you're publishing your best writing and attracting the most aligned people into your online community.
Why Work With Michelle?
I started my career in tech, working in software sales for companies like Indeed.com and MongoDB. I was writing business emails, proposals, and contracts, but never found the time to be creative. When I left my job in 2020, I knew I wanted to take a sabbatical and create more online. Thus, my creative journey began when I launched my podcast, Build A Wealthy Spirit, with my sister. In 2022, I also started writing on Substack through David Perell's course, Write of Passage. I started with zero subscribers and a brand new Twitter account.Since then, I've published 40+ essays and have guided hundreds of writers as an editor and mentor with Write of Passage. During my time there, I ran a cohort that helped writers increase their Twitter followers and push past the icky feeling of promoting their work.Having built my own audience from scratch (initially under a pseudonym!), I fully understand the challenges of developing an audience. At the same time, I've unlocked so many opportunities with my writing. I've found job opportunities, mentors, speaking gigs, and podcast invites through my writing.I'm committed to protecting my creativity and making sure that growing an audience is fun for me. I love to help others do the same.
